Jack Sousa is Co-Chair of the Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Practice Group and a Partner in Wiggin and Dana’s Corporate Department; he is also a wiggin(x) Co-Founder and Partner. Jack plays an active role – as both a lawyer and through events/initiatives, with a number of university startup ecosystems – from Fordham and Columbia to Yale and Duke through its Blue Venture Community. While Jack’s practice spans across the emerging company lifecycle, he feels strongly about the importance of helping first-time founders, entrepreneurs, and their investors, including at some of their earliest inflection points. Through decades of advising all sides of early-stage investments, from founders to angel investors and VCs, Jack takes a collaborative and practical problem-solving approach to legal problems – especially for groups who are just starting their journey together through initial investments.
